In a year packed with heavy-hitting pop stars returning to the scene, the singer became music’s unlikeliest queen bee, dethroning Miley Cyrus on the charts and sweeping awards season with her first single, “Royals.” With a distinctive love for anything black, Lorde’s style also stood out in looks by Balenciaga, Prada and Chanel.
This century’s answer to Wednesday Adams is all about goth vibes, as evidenced by her penchant for chunky Stella McCartney boots, vampy lips and black tipped nail art.
